SMART will be upgrading its PeopleTools version from 8.60.2 to 8.62.09 the weekend of August 8th/9th. The SMART system, including the Kansas eSupplier Public & Secure Portals will be unavailable to users from Friday, August 7th at 7pm until Monday, August 10th at 6am.
No scheduled queries will run on Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th due to the updates. Scheduled queries will resume running normally on Monday, August 10th.

The issues with SMART reported this morning have been resolved. Users should now be able to access SMART and attachments within SMART as normal.
If any agencies are still experiencing unexpected issues, please log a Kansas Service Desk ticket.
To resolve issues that users reported this morning, a rolling bounce will be conducted on the SMART servers today beginning at 1:45pm. This should not cause users to lose connectivity to SMART, however it is possible so please be aware.
The SMART Team is aware of issues with SMART this morning that include forcibly logging users out, not allowing users to sign in, issues accessing attachments, and reports being stuck in ‘Posting’ status.
With the increasing amount of fraud, and additional requirements being placed on the Office of Accounts and Reports (OAR) when filing forms 1099 effective for Calendar Year 2026, a change in procedure is being made to require W-9s to be attached in SMART with any new supplier records at the time the record is added/approved.
