Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge web browsers have implemented a cookies feature called SameSite that is not compatible with the SMART requisition Staples punchout process.
Users are returned to the SMART login page after selecting ‘Save & Submit’ from the Staples website and the requisition is never created.
Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge browser versions 91 have both removed the ability to disable SameSite, so this issue may impact more users as agencies upgrade browser versions.
NOTE: Mozilla Firefox can still be used to successfully create Staples punchout requisitions.
The SMART Team is working with our software provider to find a permanent solution to this issue. A notification will be sent to users when it is resolved.
