CONUS Rate Updates for January 1, 2026

CONUS rates were updated Wednesday December 31, 2025 and have an effective date of January 1, 2026.

Please note: No changes were made to the Lodging or Meals and Incidental Expenses rates in Kansas.

The query, KS_EX_CONUS_RATES, contains all CONUS locations along with the M&IE daily amounts, per diem deductions, and lodging rates based on the travel date entered. The query contains current and historical CONUS rates as of January 1, 2016.

CONUS rates in SMART are updated October 1 to coincide with the adoption of new rates by the federal government. Quarterly loads will also be done January 1, April 1, and July 1 to account for corrections or updates to the CONUS and applicable OCONUS rates.
