The Processing Journal Entries Training Guide has been updated to reflect a change in the daily batch processing schedule related to the GL Journal Edit process. There have been instances of large journals getting stuck ‘In Processing’ when utilizing the online Edit/Budget Check process due to exceeding the 5-minute online processing limitation before the user is timed out. The GL Journal Edit process will now run hourly during the day, as opposed to the previous bi-hourly schedule, to pick up journals more frequently. Best practice is to allow the batch process to manage these large journals since the timeout limitation will continue to potentially impact any journals a user edits via the online page.
