CONUS Rate Update for October 1, 2023

CONUS rates were updated Saturday, September 30, 2023 and have an effective date of October 1, 2023.

Please note: The Meals & Incidentals (M&IE) rates in Kansas remain unchanged. However, the Lodging standard rates have increased by $9 in Kansas. In addition, Sedgwick County (including the City of Wichita) is no longer classified as a non-standard area. Therefore, as of the effective date all rates associated to Sedgwick County locations have converted to the standard rates.

The query, KS_EX_CONUS_RATES, contains all CONUS locations along with the M&IE daily amounts, per diem deductions, and lodging rates based on the travel date entered. The query contains current and historical CONUS rates as of January 1, 2016.

CONUS rates in SMART are updated twice per calendar year on April 1 and October 1, and those rates are to be used in expense transactions.
