CLARIFICATION: SMART Check and Cash Deposits from June 26 - June 30

June 26, 2026

Agencies that do not use the INF43 or INF44 are reminded that checks and cash should continue to be deposited with the State Treasurer’s Office from June 26 through June 30 using the Temporary Deposit FormThese must be done by no later than 10:00 AM on June 30.

Using the Temporary Deposit Form for depositing checks and cash from June 26 through June 30 creates a ‘deposit in transit’ situation. Agencies are then required to enter the deposit for the ‘deposit in transit’, in SMART using an accounting date of June 30, 2026, when SMART reopens on July 1, 2026. More detailed instructions are provided in the year-end informational circular 26-A-13 in the Accounts Receivable section.
