INF01 Outbound Vendor Interface File from Monday, March 11, 2024 SMART Nightly Batch

The INF01, Outbound Vendor Interface, created in the Monday, March 11, 2024 SMART nightly batch was delayed due to issues with the file transfer.  The INF01 has been placed on the mainframe as of 9:05 a.m. today, March 12, 2024. The file name is DA.GBSMRT.AP01.D240311.T204255.OUT.  Any other files you may have seen with additional characters in the file name should not be used.

As agency users enter suppliers in SMART, please remember to not use special characters.  We recommend limiting the data in these fields to letters, numbers, and spaces.   Please do not cut and paste names and addresses from other sources to the SMART supplier table to limit the introduction of special characters in SMART.  Fields with data like ‘226 RUE DE L’ÉCOLE’ or ‘PREVESSIN-MOËNS’ contain special characters and although the record will save in SMART, the record will NOT be accommodated when interface files are created for agency use, and the transfer process will fail and delay the file availability for agency processes. 

Please share this information with your agency’s technical staff. There may be instances where automated agency processes failed or otherwise did not run properly if they tried to run and the file could not be located.  Otherwise, the agency could miss updates to supplier records in agency systems.
