Statewide Best Practices Training
The Office of Accounts and Reports and the Office of Procurement and Contracts are pleased to announce a best practices improvement opportunity focused on key processes, procedures, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance of agency practices for procurement and voucher processing!
Meeting Information
Date: Monday, November 18th
Time: 10 am to Noon
Location: MS Teams
Training topics will include:
- Kansas Prompt Payment Act
- Statewide Encumbrance Policy
- Purchasing and Contracts Procedures and Reminders
- Miscellaneous Accounting Procedures and Reminders
Agency staff involved in any level of purchasing on behalf of the agency are encouraged to attend this training, including staff members:
- Involved in the decision-making process of a purchase
- Utilizing the Statewide Management, Accounting & Reporting Tool (SMART)
- Engaging with suppliers to procure goods and services
- Authorized to approve invoices for payment
- Involved in the management of departments
Attendees are encouraged to complete the Pre-Event Survey to submit questions, comments, or suggestions prior to the training to ensure that training areas are covered appropriately. Please feel free to provide recommendations for future training events, too!
